May is the best month to be living in Brighton. Having been in hiding for a few months, the sun starts to shine again making sense of the colourfully painted houses, we are given 2 bank holidays and the Brighton Festival and Fringe Festival begins. Alongside these festivals; the artists open houses. Hundred’s of homes open to the public exhibiting works of art - to follow a trail, see http://www.aoh.org.uk/. I’ve been to a few so far, and it’s inspirational. I’m determined to look into doing some art courses this year… in the meantime, I will have to gaze and admire whilst sipping tea and munching on home-made cakes. Bliss!
